3 things that defines an event - Royal Queen

I walked into an event venue and at first I was shocked at what I saw...the Decoration was so shabby and I could not fathom why it was that way.

I asked the person closest to me 'who decorated this hall'   she showed me the lady.

I walked up to the lady started a conversation with her, during our conversation she made me understand the reason why the hall is the way it is, and that will be the first point I will explain. What truely defines an event?

1. Money/clients budget : Cheap table cover as you can see on the table in the photo below, no chair cover, no pecan light etc and thats because her client had no money for  flamboyance.
In this case, it's not entirely the decorators fault neither is her client to be blamed, it's simply the situation of things.

The decorator's hand is  tied because there is nothing much she can do, it's her business and she is there to make profit.

Secondly she is a beginner (she has nothing) she would have sacrificed her materials
And spare herself the shame of 'the decorator that did a poor job'

I felt for her because I sensed the discomfort.

Most times clients wants an elaborate wedding but money is always the problem so whenever you walk into an event venue and you are not pleased with what you see, remember this point I made.

On the other hand I will like to encourage beginners to try their best even when they are working on a low budget.
I know high budget most times set the record high but creativity set your design apart. Be creative no matter what the budget is.

2. The creativity by the event designer: To be a successful Decorator you must be very creative, that's one thing that will keep you on top.

I have met some very creative designers and their results gives them so much money than an ordinary decorator.

Clients that are rich hates cliche designs.
They always want something extraordinary.

And if you have concepts that will give them goose-bumps  they are ready to pay the price!

Let's see some creative concept by some designers
Did you notice the chandelier hanging on that centrepiece? Is the idea not fantastic?
How much do you think the client will pay the decorator for such amazing concept.
That's what I'm talking about...the more creative you are... the more money .

Yes I know,
Every designer has a beginning but don't stay there for so
long..

3. Clients choices: I have gotten so many jobs that 80% of the job done is  my clients ideas...so you see...ideas are not just for the designers but for everyone.
No body can ever know exactly what you want except you. So all you need to do is dream, fantasize and have your decorator create it for you! I love this one because it comes with so much pleasure because at the end of the day you are very satisfied and your client is feeling like the ' boss'

So whatever the case is. I believe every event should be ideal...and it does not need to take up all your savings to be what you want it to be...a creative decorator can do an amazing job even with little money.
